The terms and conditions for our online valuations and car buying service.
All quotes are subject to seeing the vehicle and the vehicle being accurately described.
We make the following assumptions when valuing your vehicle: 1) It has no damage to the interior 2) It has no mechanical faults 3) It has an engine which can start and idle on its own (i.e. it’s not a non-runner) 4) It has never been involved in an accident
Our valuations are not an offer to purchase your car. This is simply what we maybe willing to pay for your vehicle. We always carry out a physical inspection of the car before we agree to buy it. After you have received this valuation, you may book an appointment for an inspection at one of our branches.
If, on inspection of the car at the appointment, we consider that the value of the car is affected by any aspect of its history or condition, including any unusual feature, customisation or anything which affects or limits the assumptions we made about the car, which was not apparent to us when we gave the valuation, the price that we may be willing to pay for it following an inspection (the “price”) is likely to differ from this valuation. Subject to our inspection of the car (as explained further above), this valuation is guaranteed for seven days from the date on which we send it to you. If there is a significant price change within the 7 day guarantee period, we will use reasonable endeavours to contact you to let you know that the valuation has changed.
We are not obliged to purchase any car brought to an appointment (in particular we reserve the right to turn you away from an appointment if you are selling the car for commercial purposes, e.g. in the course of a motor trade business) and neither are you obliged to sell any car brought to an appointment.
